DOIG+SMITH HOOK UP WITH CLIENTS IN HIGHLAND RETREAT
23 April 2008

A fishing outing tackled by Charlie McKerracher turned out to be a great catch for clients and guests who attended some early spring salmon fishing on the South Esk.

In only the second cast for the morning, Angus MacNab caught a 9lb sea liced bar of silver which was quickly followed, amazingly only two casts later, by a further beauty which unfortunately "got away".

Recognising this lucky spot, some two hours later Alistair Leith landed another at the same location and the next day Maurice Norwood lands yet another, which is a tremendous achievement following a poor couple of South Esk seasons.

For those who enjoyed the two great days the photo gallery will bring back fond memories.

Can you guess who is who through the kind of bleary looking early a.m eyes and that refreshing Hair of the "Malt Dog".

Whilst browsing please feed back to us any appropriate captions you might think of for any of the photographs.
