A contract for the new £3.7million New Heritage Centre in East Lothian is about to be awarded with work due to start in the Spring.

The John Gray Centre will house the Haddington branch library, the East Lothian local history centre, a museum and exhibition space, and the East Lothian archives. The Centre will be created in converted listed buildings on Lodge Street in Haddington. Funding assistance is provided by HLF and Historic Scotland.

Partner Ian Jamieson said “we are delighted to bring another project back within budget for this important client and look forward to successful delivery by mid 2011”.
