SCOTMID GIVES UPBEAT MESSAGE

“Scotmid, the largest independent Scottish co-operative, has announced positive annual results with an operating profit of £10.2 million in the year ended 31 January 2010, up 18% from £8.7 million in the previous year. The food convenience business was the main driver of this strong performance”. (Scotmid April 2010)
Since November 2008 Doig+Smith have been working with Scotmid in an exciting Framework Refurbishment Programme which has seen 19nr stores refurbished in the year 2009 on time and within budget.
The success of 2009 has led to Doig+Smith’s continued involvement in the 2010 refit programme. Six months into the year and 15nr stores already refurbished the Scotmid Refurbishment Programme has shown no signs of slowing down.
Working as both QS and Project Managers Doig+Smith are proud to be involved with Scotmid in their refit programme and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
