NEW CONTRACT TAKES OFF

Doig+Smith has been appointed as Cost Mangers for a £40m extension and major upgrading works at Edinburgh Airport.
Work has started on site and includes extending the existing departure lounge on the first floor to provide an improved retail offer at the airport as well as relocation of the Search Facility.
The contract is expected to be delivered by late 2010.
Ian Jamieson, Partner, Doig+Smith said, “The terminal will continue to operate as normal, therefore the programming of the project is particularly complex and we are working closely with the project team to ensure a seamless phasing of the work. The benefits, however, once the works are completed will be enormous and will provide the additional space the airport desperately needs to significantly improve the passenger experience”.
