Scope of project:

• he 14,000m2 phased redevelopment of Langside College on the site of the existing college campus including early enabling works, construction of a new main teaching block comprising general teaching classrooms, teaching kitchens, health & beauty salon, science laboratories, senior management office suite, student services facility, refectory, catering facilities and associated plant rooms.
• The works also include the construction of a link corridor from the main teaching block to a new sports building and the construction of a stand alone Theatre Arts and Conference Centre. (Works to both buildings only commencing upon decant to new and safe demolition and removal of the existing teaching block).
• Extensive alteration and refurbishment works were undertaken to a number of existing buildings which required to be retained whilst new works are ongoing. These will also be demolished on completion of the new facilities.
• External works comprise the provision of a new drainage and landscaping throughout, car parking and an amphitheatre style entrance plaza. All weather outdoor synthetic football pitches will be provided to compliment the new sports facility.

• Phased Design & Build construction of a new nine storey teaching facility procured through the Major Works Framework using the NEC3 contract.
• Initial Enabling Works phase comprised the demolition of an existing building, site clearance and new external services.
• Main phase of works comprises the new SIPBS building and the latter phases include the construction of link bridges to the existing estate, demolition of the Todd Wing building after decant into the new facility and landscaping works.
