Project Description

The project comprised the remodelling of the existing Skylounge to improve the passenger experience and increase revenue from the lounge. The works were in a live airside environment where disruption to the airport business had to be minimal. Deliveries to and from the site had to be co-ordinated and carried out at specific times as the delivery route was across live aircraft stands.

The project involved a major refurbishment of the lounge to redesign the functional use of the space, as well as, create a modern environment that achieved the high standards of design expected by customers in executive lounges.

The works included demolitions, new wall, ceiling and floor finishes, new bespoke FFE including a self-service bar area and reception area, feature lighting and creation of a kids play zone. A full re-brand of the Skylounge was also carried out to relaunch and reposition the lounge with Glasgow Airport’s competitors.
