Director
Paul is a Director at Doig+Smith and a dual-qualified Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Architect, bringing a broad technical, commercial and delivery-focused perspective to construction consultancy.
Paul has experience across a wide range of sectors, including education, further and higher education, public sector estate transformation, residential, commercial, industrial, leisure, heritage, regeneration and private sector development. His project experience spans early feasibility studies, business case development, stakeholder engagement, procurement strategy, design team coordination, contract administration, employer’s agent services, NEC project management and project delivery through to completion.
He has worked with public and private sector clients, universities, schools, local authorities, housing providers, developers, landlords and occupiers, supporting projects ranging from complex live-environment refurbishments and estate upgrades to new-build developments, infrastructure works, conservation projects and major capital investment programmes.
Paul combines architectural training with project management discipline, allowing him to understand both the technical detail and the wider commercial drivers behind a project. He is known for his practical, collaborative and outcome-focused approach, providing clients with clear advice, strong governance and confident leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
